Following Pope Francis’s dramatic farewell, a troubling prophecy from Nostradamus that talks about a “Black Pope” and the end of the world reappears.
The world has been rocked by Pope Francis’s passing. The pontiff, who suffered a stroke at the age of 88, created a legacy of selflessness and support for the poor. His straightforward and personable life was reflected in his funeral, which was conducted in St. Peter’s Square today, Saturday, April 26.

Nostradamus’s Prophecies Raise Alarms After Pope Francis’s Funeral
Les Prophéties, written by the French apothecary and seer Nostradamus in the 16th century, was published in 1555. He gathered 942 lyrical quatrains in it, many of which foretold significant historical occurrences. Over the ages, his vague and enigmatic writing has been interpreted in a variety of ways.
These days, one of the most talked-about prophecies describes the coming of a “Black Pope.” The most popular version would have three popes in succession: a foreigner (Benedict XVI), an elderly man (Francis), and a dark-skinned pontiff in the end. The Apocalypse was meant to start with this final one.

A much-cited verse says, “The Roman pontiff will not be elected, neither near nor far will he be heeded.” And it continues: “A young man with dark skin with the help of the great king will hand the purse to another of red color.” The metaphor has fueled theories about the end of the world and the Final Judgment.
