Wiz Khalifa seems to believe Earth is a “flat plane.”

In an exclusive Patreon episode of The Joe Budden Podcast released on Monday, April 21, the rapper opened up about his apparent thoughts on Earth’s shape despite it being proven to be round more than 2,000 years ago, per Billboard.

After co-host Melyssa Ford asked Khalifa, 37, if he thought Earth was round, he told her “no.”

“I just believe that we live on a flat plane, like a huge flat plane,” said Khalifa.

Khalifa then revealed that he seemingly believes this “flat plane” theory because he’s “traveled so much.”

But after guest host and academic Marc Lamont Hill challenged him by asking if he’d ever traveled to the edge of the Earth, Khalifa reframed his thinking.

“Nah, it’s not that. I think that there’s more masses than just what we see because it was one thing before and it spread out,” he said, appearing to refer to the supercontinent of Pangaea.

Khalifa then expressed that he believed there was more land that humans had yet to discover.

“Because when I travel, the routes that we take and how we do it, it’s not possible to go up and down. You’re just going straight. That’s the only reason I think that,” said the “Black and Yellow” performer.

Khalifa then pivoted by sharing his skepticism of space exploration.

“I don’t believe in space exploration at all,” he said. “I don’t believe that they explore space as much as they say that they do.”

In the past The Joe Budden Podcast has debated the topic, and Hill, 46, has discussed it on his YouTube series Night School Debate.

Despite his apparent beliefs, Khalifa’s new album Kush + Orange Juice 2 — which was released on Friday, April 18 and is a sequel to his 2010 record — features a round photo of Earth on its cover.

Of the album, the “See You Again” performer told Grammy.com that he initially “wasn’t into doing a sequel” and “would always leave ‘Kush & Orange Juice’ alone.”

However, once Khalifa began working on the record, “I just thought, ‘What would be the most satisfying for the fans and the people who support me? Should I start over and do something brand new, or re-create something that they already love and that they’re already used to?’”

“So that’s what made me make the decision to work on a follow-up,” he concluded.
