Sally Field has always been one of my favorite actresses. She’s a true icon and incredibly talented. At 76 years old, she has experienced a wealth of on-screen romances throughout her impressive career.
With that, she’s had her share of memorable kisses on screen. Recently, she opened up about which one she found to be the least enjoyable, though she was a bit hesitant to reveal the name of her co-star at first.

For instance, her role in Steel Magnolias is something I’ll always remember, especially that poignant funeral scene. Sally masterfully depicted a woman grappling with love, despair, anger, and grief.
Additionally, she’s well-known for her performances in beloved films and series such as Gidget, The Flying Nun, Smokey and the Bandit, Forrest Gump, Mrs. Doubtfire, and Erin Brockovich.
Sally grew up in a working-class showbiz family in Pasadena, California.
However, her upbringing was anything but idyllic. In her memoirs, she revealed that her stepfather committed some terrible acts against her, and she underwent a secret abortion at the age of 17.
Despite these challenges, she emerged as a genuinely beautiful and humble person.
Today, Sally remains actively involved in her career. She portrayed Janice in the 2020 TV series Dispatches From Elsewhere and took on the role of Jessie Buss in Winning Time: The Rise of the Lakers Dynasty in 2022, a hit series that explores the lives of the Los Angeles Lakers during the 1980s.

On the Thursday, December 1 episode of “Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen,” the beloved actress Sally Field opened up about her least favorite on-screen kiss after a fan posed a curious question.
At 76, Field chuckled and glanced around before saying, “Oh boy. Should I really name names?”
Cohen, 54, encouraged her, saying, “I think you should.”

Field relented, teasing, “Alright. This might surprise you. Hold on, everyone.”
She revealed that her former boyfriend, the iconic Burt Reynolds, was the one responsible.
Cohen quickly interjected, “But weren’t you two dating at that time?”
Field clarified that while filming “Smokey and the Bandit,” she had to “look the other way” during certain scenes because it “just wasn’t something he really did for you.”
“Isn’t that something,” Cohen replied, taken aback.
Field continued, sharing that there was quite a bit of “drooling” from Reynolds during their on-screen moments.
The two first crossed paths in 1977 while working on “Smokey and the Bandit” and enjoyed a relationship that lasted about five years.
Reynolds, who sadly passed away from cardiac arrest at the age of 82, reflected on his relationship with Field in his memoir, But Enough About Me, as reported by the New York Post.
He expressed regret over their time together, wishing he had made more effort to keep their relationship alive.
In March, Field told Variety that she had stopped communicating with Reynolds in the last three decades of his life for very good reasons.
“He was not someone I could be around,” she elaborated. “He was just not good for me in any way. And he had somehow invented in his rethinking of everything that I was more important to him than he had thought, but I wasn’t. He just wanted to have the thing he didn’t have. I just didn’t want to deal with that.”
