The father of 12 says each of his testicles is insured for $5 million
Cannon said he’s not necessarily done with having kids, even though his younger children call him “Cringe Cannon”
The balls are in Nick Cannon’s court.
The 44-year-old father of 12 took out a pricey insurance policy on his testicles in 2024 for a cool $10 million and opened up about the decision on the May 1 episode of the Tea Time with Raven & Miranda podcast.
“It started off like, ‘Yo, this would be a good joke,’ but we really went through with it,” the Masked Singer host explained.
It started in June 2024 when Cannon appeared in a commercial for Dr. Squatch, announcing he’d insured his testicles for the record amount.
“Dr. Squatch, who is like, they’re known for like manscaping and all that stuff,” Cannon said of the company. “They were like, ‘Yo, a lot of celebrity women are insuring their legs in case something goes wrong.’ “
He went on to share that the higher ups at Dr. Squatch then asked him what his “most valuable asset” was, to which he replied, “My balls!”
“I got the insurance policy in my office. It’s legit,” he quipped, noting that each ball is insured for $5 million.
“If I happen to lose one, all the money goes to my kids,” Cannon said of his 12 offspring.
Cannon is dad to twins Monroe and Moroccan, 14, with ex-wife Mariah Carey; sons Golden Sagon, 8, and Rise Messiah Cannon, 1, and daughter Powerful Queen, 4, with Brittany Bell; twins Zion Mixolydian and Zillion Heir, both 3, and daughter Beautiful Zeppelin, 2, with Abby De La Rosa; son Legendary Love, 2, with Bre Tiesi; and daughter Onyx Ice Cole, 2, with LaNisha Cole. Cannon is father to two children with Alyssa Scott — son Zen, who died at five months old in December 2021 after being diagnosed with brain cancer, and daughter Halo Marie Cannon, 2.
As for whether he’s done having kids, Cannon hesitated when asked about future children by podcast hosts Raven-Symoné and Miranda Maday.
“I love the baby stage,” he said. “Baby to toddler. So fun. Because 3 year olds, those are the three-nagers. They think they know everything.”
Cannon said he views his oldest kids — Monroe and Moroccan — as peers.
“Those my homies,” Cannon said of the twins, who just celebrated their 14th birthday. “We hang out, went to the movies this weekend and Raising Canes. I’m just the guy with the license.”
However, Cannon shared that his pre-teens have nicknamed him “Cringe Cannon.”
And while Cannon is open to letting his kids be involved in the entertainment industry, he said their situation is different than a newcomer on the scene.
“As the father, I kinda know, I’ve been here, so I’m never gonna let an agent take advantage of you,” he explained. “I’m never gonna allow you to be on set by yourself, like, because this is my world. There is some nepotism that’s gonna take place that, like, this is the family business.”
